SPIE’ Student Best Paper Award

“SPIE sponsored Best Student Paper Awards are designed to encourage and acknowledge excellence in oral and poster student paper presentations”.

 

Students participating at the conference should inform the organizers that they would like to be considered for the award.  To do so after submission of the abstract, using MySPIE system, student’ authors should send an email to aop2011@spidof.pt stating that. Upon evaluation of the abstract and following the notification of acceptance, the student must send a digitized copy of their student ID or equivalent proof. Furthermore a full paper, manuscript, should be submitted by March 28, 2011, through MySPIE and simultaneously in pdf format by email aop2011@spidof.pt. For award consideration, the student author or co-author must present the paper or poster.

List of awards:

1^st prize – Certificate, Monetary prize on the amount of $200, 45 free Digital Library downloads, Free one-year SPIE Student Membership

2^nd prize - Certificate, Monetary prize on the amount of $150, 25 free Digital Library downloads, Free one-year SPIE Student Membership

3^rd prizes - Certificate, Monetary prize on the amount of $50, 10 free Digital Library downloads, Free one-year SPIE Student Membership

Student’ authors may submit their works for the conference’ student awards.

Registration fee will be waived for all winners.
